Balancing music with my everyday life has been one of the biggest struggles of being a singer. Even in the short time I have been a part of the music world, it has been hard to balance music with everything that has gone on in my personal life, whether that is school, or spending time with family and friends.

Since 2022, I have been a student at The University of Toronto in Music Education. Through that time, I have worked with multiple bands, performing all over the Greater Toronto Area, grew my brand on social media, all while working through a strenuous schedule, and a potential overload of music in my life. Through 2022 to 2025, it was a real struggle trying to balance music in school with music outside of it. On top of all of this, I still needed to balance both of these with my social life, and work. It created a whole new challenge for me. What really helped me was taking some time management counseling through this time. I will admit, I did not do a great job balancing everything all at once, especially as someone who grew up, and still deals with ADHD. Taking time management counseling really helped me fix my schedule, find the time to see friends and go to family events, all while finding the time to work on music both on my own time, and at university.

Trying to balance music with everyday life naturally comes with sacrifice. I recorded my first album through 2025 to 2026, and knew if I wanted to do this right, I would have to take a year off to put all my focus into it. I witnessed a majority of my friends and family finish their final years, and graduate around me while I was in a studio working with incredible musicians. I missed out on birthday parties, and family events while I was sitting at the booth, finding which take I thought was the best. It’s the sacrifices you have to make to be in this world, and I knew exactly what I was getting myself into, and I would not change this for anything in the world.
