How To Stand Out

How To Stand Out

An artist finishes a set and someone asks, “How would you describe your music?” For musicians who find that question harder than the performance itself, Toronto vocal, performance and career coach Lorraine Lawson is offering How to Stand Out, a live Zoom workshop on November 28 and 29.

“Success starts with knowing who you are,” says Lawson. Her workshop opens with four questions. Who are you? What do you love to do? Why do you want to do it? Who do you want to do it for?

Over two sessions, participants will turn their answers into a short introduction they can use in conversation and a content plan that reflects what they want to be known for. For a songwriter, that might mean finding the detail that makes a listener lean in before the first verse, then using that same story to introduce the song online.

The workshop is open to artists, entrepreneurs, speakers, authors and other creatives. Sessions run from noon to 2 p.m. EST each day. Registration is $197 CAD and includes the How to Stand Out workbook. Recording artists also receive Lawson’s Increase Your Spotify Listeners Blueprint.
